MMI not working. I have had this same problem with my 08 S5. There are 2 fuses in the fuse box related to it- I think it's MMI and radio. Remove them and put them back in.You do not have to replace with new fuses. Has worked for me every time. They are listed in manual. Hidden menu must be enabled. Turn key into II position and wait for the MMI 3G system to start. You can also use keyless buttons. Press and hold buttons SETUP and CAR. After couple of seconds hidden green menu will appear. R. rldk Discussion starter. 18 posts · Joined 2011. #1 · Dec 17, 2014. Hi all, Today I realized the HDD / Jukebox is not working and I'm not able to select it as a source. It's greyed out and cannot be selected. Everything else works fine, including radio, SD cards, CD / DVD, Navigations, etc. I've tried to reset the MMI and no luck.
The problem is that the MMI works fine, it's very intermittent where the sound doesn't come on at all (an no the mute is not on - volume indicator works fine - just no sound) . On the rare occasion sound comes through -it's clear and fine , but after 10 mins of driving the sound will suddenly stop - so I am only assuming it's something that is The battery has been tested and is ok. I have read that the battery energy management shuts down things as the battery is losing power, one of these is the infotainment ( mmi) and goes into transportation mode etc. I have managed to deactivate transportation mode through vcds cable but I do not know how to activate infotainment. .
